XVI National Congress of Therapists

The XVI National Congress of Physicians took place from 17 to 19 November 2021. The event is being held online for the second time in a row due to the unfavorable epidemiological situation.

Annual Congress of Therapists is one of the largest scientific medical events. Every year, tens of thousands of participants gather within the framework of the congress to exchange new relevant information on all the most important aspects of medical practice, get acquainted with the latest trends and achievements and, subsequently, introduce the best of them into their practice.

Researchers of the Institute of Cytochemistry and Molecular Pharmacology took part in the congress as members of auditory.

Also, within the framework of the congress, a symposium "Clinical possibilities of using metabolite therapy" took place. Y. R. Nartsissov, head of the sector of mathematical modeling and statistical processing of results, became its chairman. In addition to the role of the host and moderator of the discussion, he gave a lecture in which he spoke about the theoretical foundations of metabolic therapy, about the basic principles of the use of metabolites for the treatment of various diseases, and also presented the latest scientific data on the mechanisms of their action. In continuation of this topic, Professor M.L. Maximov dwelled in more detail on specific therapeutic mechanisms and combinations of active substances.

Other symposium lecturers included MDs O.V. Goncharova, L.P. Sokolova and V.N. Shishkova. They spoke about specific areas of possible use of metabolites in medical practice. In particular, O.V. Goncharova, who has experience in the use of metabolic therapy for almost 30 years, touched on a very serious topic - she spoke about the prevention of neurological disorders in newborns, which are based on hypoxia in the perinatal period. The issues of correcting the imbalance of the autonomic nervous system, as well as the treatment of post-covid disorders were also considered in detail.
